Oil Changes

HOW WE CHANGE YOUR OIL

Oil changes aren’t just a part of regular maintenance. They’re critical to maintaining your vehicle’s engine’s health and performance. Clean oil is the engine’s lifeblood. It lubricates moving parts, reduces friction, and carries away contaminants and debris.

At EuroTech, we understand that regular oil changes can make a big difference in your engine’s performance and health. Poor oil changes can lead to accelerated engine wear and wear, reduced performance, and potentially catastrophic engine failure.

Here Is How We Change Your Oil:

1. PREPARE

  • We find the right oil and filter for you.

2. DRAIN

  • We Park the car on a flat surface.
  • Run the car to warm up the oil and make it flow easier.
  • Put on the emergency brake.
  • Find the oil drain plug under the engine block, near the front of your car, or according to your car manual.
  • Once we find the plug, we place a shallow pan underneath it.
  • Unlock the plug by turning the wrench counterclockwise.
  • Allow the plug to drop into the pan to prevent it from coming into contact with a lot of hot oil.
  • Allow the oil to drain into the pan for 5-10 minutes.

3. REMOVE THE FILTER

  • We find the plug in your oil pan.
  • we replace it by hand first, then move on to the socket wrench.
  • Find the oil filter on your engine’s side (look up; the lower part of the filter is typically painted black or made of black rubber).
  • Move the oil pan to catch the oil coming out of the filter.
  • We have an adjustable filter wrench, we use it to unscrew your old filter. Let your old filter drain into the pan.

4. REPLACE THE FILTER

  • Open your new filter.
  • Use a rag to wipe a layer of new oil on the seal of your new filter.
  • Screw your new filter onto your old filter.

5. REPLACING THE OIL

  • Under the hood of your car, we locate the oil filler cap.
  • Set it aside. Insert a funnel into the mouth of the oil filler.
  • Pour in 4-5 gallons of new oil, according to your car’s manual.
  • Remove the oil filler cap and replace it.
  • Start the car and let it run for 5 minutes.
  • Check the dipstick.
  • Add another quart as needed.

6. CLEAN-UP

  • Use rags or newspaper to wipe excess oil off the hood or under the hood of your vehicle.
  • Properly remove the oil and filter from the car in milk jugs or a trash bin.
